Lisa Pierce – Founder and Executive Director

As our founder and executive director, Lisa is really excited about the potential we have for ministry in our state. We have been working with some incredible families who make each day worthwhile. Lisa graduated from Auburn University and has a Masters from The University of West Alabama where ARM began. Lisa loves working with people in rural communities and getting to know them and their amazing stories. Although originally from Daytona Beach, FL, Lisa considers Alabama home. She’s been working with the National Guard since 1990 and currently holds the rank of Lieutenant Colonel. Overall, Lisa just enjoys serving  in the Spirit of our Lord and Savior!

Joe Davis – Director of Ministry Operations

As our director of ministry operations, Joe will oversee the day to day ministry of ARM. He’s a native of Sumter County where ARM began and still remembers Lisa visiting his school in the mid 1990s to give Monday morning devotions! Joe was president of the Auburn Wesley Foundation while an Auburn student, and served on the ARM summer staff in 2005 as a construction coordinator. He has a degree in wireless software engineering from Auburn University, a Master’s of Divinity from Palmer Seminary, and is completing a second Master’s in International Development from Eastern University. Joe is married to Cassie Simpson Davis and they have an 11-month-old daughter named Isla.

Becky Dean – Outreach Coordinator

As our outreach coordinator, Becky keeps us connected to families and other ministry partners in our communities. She also guides families through various federal home repair grant programs. Becky is a young adult missionary with the United Methodist Church on a 3-year service program. She spent the first half of her missionary service with children’s ministries in Ecuador. Now she’s finishing out her missionary program with ARM and will be with us until July 2015. Becky joined us in March 2014 and served as a day camp coordinator on our 2014 summer staff in Tuskegee. She is originally from Indiana and graduated from Hope College in 2011 with a degree in social work and Spanish. 

John Talmage – Construction Coordinator

As our construction coordinator, John provides construction expertise and project management on all our home repair projects. John attended Auburn University’s school of engineering, and has 27 years of experience as an independent contractor. He worked with Taas Construction in Atlanta for 10 years, and has experience managing large construction renovation projects in Athens, GA, and Richmond, VA. John moved to Auburn in 2012 with his wife Kim and 5 kids. He also works with Presbyterian Community Ministry.
