Our Staff
ARM employs one full-time and one part-time staff and temporarily hires a small army of college students during the summer months.
Beth Ann Hopkins [ bethann@arm-al.org] - Beth Ann joined ARM in 2009 as Program Director but has been a part of ARM since 2002. She served on Livingston summer staff in 2006 and 2008 as well as volunteered in Tuskegee in 2007. She graduated from Appalachian State University in August 2008 with a degree in Sociology with a concentration in Family Development. She is excited to become a full time member of our staff and looks forward to serving through ARM in the years to come. Beth Ann is currently raising her own support and would love to have you as a partner in ministry. You can donate directly through our paypal account or e-mail her if you want to receive more information about what she is doing with ARM.
Joe O’Neal [ joneal@arm-al.org ]- Joe joined us in the summer of 2007 as a construction coordinator. He and his family are answering a call into full time Christian service. Joe resigned his job and came on board with us. What is amazing is that he is raising his own support! What an incredible leap of faith. Joe has over 25 years of experience in residential construction.. He has lent incredible expertise to our ministry. Come join us so you can work with Joe! Again, Joe is raising his own support and could use your help- every little bit is a tremendous help for him. If you would like to help Joe, email him at joneal@arm-al.org and he will send you a short letter about himself and ways you can join him in his ministry or you can give a gift now using the PayPal option–just make sure you email us a quick note to let us know it is for him. All donations are tax deductible. Thanks for supporting Joe!
Sandy Sweeney: [ sandy@arm-al.org ]- Sandy recently came on our staff January 2009. She is our financial wizard and handles anything and everything to do with managing our resources. She lives in Auburn but is from Cincinatti, Ohio.
Lisa Pierce [ lisa@arm-al.org ] – As the founder and director of ARM, I am really excited about the potential we have for ministry in our state. We have been working with some incredible families who make each day worthwhile. I graduated from Auburn University in 1995 with a degree in Animal Science. I love working with people in the rural communities and getting to know them. Although originally from Daytona Beach, I consider Alabama home. I have been working with the National Guard since 1990 and served for a year in Iraq.
Please feel free to contact Lisa or Beth Ann with any questions that you may have about Alabama Rural Ministry.
