We’d love to host your team during Spring, Fall, and Winter/Christmas break, or during a time that fits your schedule. Just let us know when you’re available to serve with our home repair ministry in Macon and Lee counties! This is a great opportunity for campus ministries, youth groups, Sunday School classes, or for families. We can host teams of up to 65 people!

Learn as You Serve!

Tuskegee boasts a rich civil rights history with two national historic museums – Tuskegee Institute and Tuskegee Airmen. You’re also a short drive from Montgomery and not too far from Selma where you can dive in to the past and present of the Southern Freedom Movement. In April 2018, The Equal Justice Initiative opened a first-of-its-kind memorial to victims of lynching and a museum in downtown Montgomery. Selma has many civil and voting rights memorials too!  We are more than happy to make time for your team to explore the important history of Alabama and the civil rights movement as you serve with us.

Spring Breaks on mission with ARM are a fantastic way to deepen your faith as you love and serve others. Spend the whole week with us by arriving on Sunday, serving Monday – Thursday, and departing on Friday. Or, spend the weekend with us by arriving on Friday, serving on Saturday, and departing on Sunday.

What Do We Need to Provide?

Food

Meals are not provided. However, your group will have access to kitchen facilities.

Transportation

Each of your team’s work crews will need to provide its own transportation to travel to and from its work site. You will need a vehicle for every 7 crew members.

Work Crews

Your group will be divided into work crews of 4-7 people. Youth groups must have a minimum of one (preferably two) adults per work crew. You will also need one construction knowledgeable person per crew. Each crew is responsible for providing their own transportation, water cooler, and first aid kit. We recommend you bring basic tools such as hammers, gloves, and cordless drills. Bringing as many tools as possible is encouraged.

Individual Needs

Here’s a packing list with a few things we’d recommend that all your volunteers bring along with them.

All volunteers will be required to complete a medical release form as well as a release of liability form.
