Raising Additional Financial Support

You have the opportunity to raise an unlimited amount of additional financial support above your $730/month base stipend. If you would like to raise additional support, here’s how it works:

  1. Create a list of your supporters in an Excel spreadsheet. This can include friends, family, churches, and businesses.
    • If you would like us to mail a letter to the supporter, provide their name, address, city, state, and zip code in separate columns.
    • If you would like us to email a letter to the supporter, provide their name and email address in separate columns
  2. We work with you to draft a support letter.
  3. We’ll either mail or email the letter to your supporters based on the list you’ve provided.
    • The emailed letter will contain a link to an online donation page where your supporters can choose to designate their gift towards your stipend.
  4. We’ll notify you as people submit donations either by mail or online. You’ll need to send them thank you cards.

Your additional support will be added on to your stipend based upon a percentage: 75% of each donation goes toward your stipend and 25% goes to support ARM. This also allows the donation to be tax-deductible for your supporters.
