Looking for a meaningful summer job where you can experience and share Christ’s love through service to others…and get paid for it? We’re currently searching for mature, young adult Christians to who want to seek God’s kingdom in real, hands-on ways.

ARM is committed to meeting the needs of low-income families in Alabama in three ways:

  1. Through home repair and construction. We believe that all homes should be safe, free from leaks, and protected from the outside elements.
  2. Through children’s day camps. We strive to provide Christian education, and a Christian witness to children that are often neglected and “left behind.”
  3. Through building relationships across cultural, racial, and age boundaries. As an ARM staff member, you will pursue these relationships by working closely with the families, children, and middle/high school students mission teams.

Youth Mission Camp: Compassionate Service + Radical Hospitality + Authentic Community

The entire summer staff team works together throughout the summer to practice radical hospitality with mission teams of middle and high school students at each of our mission sites. This includes designing and leading evening worship and poverty education programs, cooking meals, cleaning facilities, and being role models of compassionate, servant leadership. This is an incredible opportunity to join God’s transformative work in the lives of middle and high school students.

Positions Available

 Construction Coordinator: 6-8 Positions Available for Summer 2017 ($1700 scholarship)

Gain hands-on residential construction experience (prior experience is highly preferred but not required) as you share in Christ’s love with families seeking repair. You’ll also learn invaluable project planning and management skills as you coordinate home repair projects for our middle & high school mission teams.

Day Camp Coordinator: 8 Positions Available for Summer 2017 ($1700 scholarship)

Our day camp is like VBS on steroids! A heart for kids is a must for this position. You’ll coordinate Bible lessons, recreational activities, and educational programs for 25-30 kids ages 5-10 alongside our middle & high school mission teams. This is a great position for those interested in elementary education, social work, psychology, human development and family studies – or for anyone who loves kids!

Site Leaders – 2 Positions Available for Summer 2017 ($1900 scholarship)

A site leader manages the summer mission camp site and communicates with our mission teams. The site leader is typically a former staff member, but exceptions can be made for the right candidate with excellent leadership and organizational skills.
