Extend Love - Build More 

Sumter County is in the central western part of Alabama and is close to Meridian, Mississippi. This is where we got our start in home repair and children’s ministry back in 1998. Livingston is located in Sumter County and is best known for being the home of The University of West Alabama.  Sumter County is severely poverty stricken and has little economic opportunity for its citizens. Despite the hardship, this community is very loving and continues to welcome and inspire our staff and volunteers each summer.  Summer mission teams may come to Sumter County to extend the love of Christ through home repair, Sonshine Kids Day Camp, or both! Teams are hosted in York at the York Mennonite Church.
