Executive Director and Founder

Lisa Pierce

As the founder of Alabama Rural Ministry, Lisa has always been excited about the potential we have for ministry in our state. For the past 25 years, ARM has been working with some incredible families who make each day worthwhile. Lisa graduated from Auburn University, attended seminary at Asbury Theological Seminary with an MA in Leadership, has a Master’s from The University of West Alabama where ARM began. Lisa graduated from the US Army War College and has a Masters in Strategic Military Studies. Lisa loves working with people in rural communities and getting to know them and their amazing stories. Although originally from Daytona Beach, Florida, Lisa considers Alabama home. She’s been working with the National Guard since 1990 and currently holds the rank of Colonel. Lisa is ordained as a deacon in the United Methodist Church. Overall, Lisa enjoys serving others in the Spirit of our Lord and Savior!

Director of Ministry Operations/VISTA

Mandi Simmons

Mandi Simmons serves as ARM’s Director of Ministry Operations. She oversees ARM’s mission camps and the program staff. Mandi is married with 3 children and has recently become a new grandmother (Mae-Mae). Mandi was born and raised in Beauregard, AL. Her husband was a member of the Mississippi National Guard in which he served active and non-active duty. Once her husband retired from the military, they moved back to Alabama to be closer to both of their families. Mandi is looking forward to gaining insight into the lives of our homeowners as we launch new projects in the community.



VISTA of Development

Seth White

As a VISTA of Resource Development at Alabama Rural Ministry, Seth comes with an eagerness for the potential of ministry in the state. Over the past three years, he has resided in Auburn and embarked on his academic journey at Auburn University, focusing on Industrial & Organizational Psychology after earning a bachelor’s degree in building construction. Seth’s hobbies include sports, music and podcast listening, and indulging in movies and shows during his leisure time. His aspiration to serve the community beyond the construction field stems from his graduation from Auburn University’s building science program. Through his role at ARM, Seth anticipates making a positive impact in partnership with the ARM team, spreading the love of God to the community and those in need.

Property Manager


The property manager is responsible for the ARM vehicles, parsonage, mission hub (the Tuskegee Church), and the Pepperell office. The property manager also assists with construction projects when needed.
