On Wednesday October 21, Cassie Keyes will be interviewing ARM and talking about Poverty Awareness Week. At 10:30 AM you can catch the interview. What is Poverty Awareness Week? It is our work in the Auburn/Macon county community to understand the issues surrounding poverty and how it affects housing.

Lisa Pierce, ARM’s executive director, will live in a box/shack for one week or until we raise $10,000. This will begin Nov. 7th in front of the Auburn Wesley Foundation on Gay Street and end by Nov. 15th (hopefully sooner). Lisa will have information about our communities, information about how poverty affects us here, and ways we can help. Plus, there are opportunities for children. For a donation of $5 or more, kids will receive a paint brush and can help “brighten the box” by putting colorful paint on it. They get to  keep their brush.

We hope you listen in on the interview, come out and see us, or make a donation toward this. Thanks so much!
