To all of our youth friends! We hope all is going well and that you all have have had an awesome year. I still have fond memories of the times many of you have spent with us at ARM. We wanted to let you know about an opportunity for youth we have coming up very quickly.

From April 1-3, 2016, Alabama Rural Ministry will be hosting a youth mission practicum designed for high school students who desire to take their passion and ideas and translate them into action. Students will also be given an opportunity to serve with ARM for 1-2 weeks this summer shadowing our counselors.

This event will provide students workshops and time to develop their projects and ideas. Rev. Jeremy Steele from Christ United Methodist, Deaconess Susan Hunt who serves with the conference, and myself will be leading these sessions. ARM staff and college students will assist youth with developing their project ideas.

My hope is that you could recommend one to two of your youth who have leadership potential and a heart for missions and service who would enjoy learning the principles of taking an idea and turning it into action. There are 20 spots available, and registration is now open and will close on March 25th.

More information about this event, the recommendation form and the registration form can be found on our website at: https://www.arm-al.org/leadup The cost is $65 and covers meals, housing, and the resources.

If you have any additional questions, please feel free to contact me lisa@arm-al.org.
