Day Camp
The SonShine Kids Day Camp ministry operates at our mission site in Tuskegee. Day camp hosts 30-40 children ages 5-10, and is held at a local school in the community for 6-7 weeks during the summer. During the week, the children engage in Bible stories, games, and educational activities. Ever since we started the day camp ministry in 2000, our summer staff and youth groups have taken a special interest in the children with the hope that each child experiences – in a real, but small way – how deeply they are loved by God.

Kids will THRIVE this summer!
In addition to our Bible lessons, campers will learn various practical life skills. See below for some of our topics this summer.
Construction For Kids
Using the stories of Nehemiah and Jesus and his dad, Joseph, children will learn how to use basic tools! They will get to build birdhouses, a small bookshelf, and a garden box.
Cooking & Baking
Campers will learn the principles of reading a recipe, basic measuring of ingredients, nutritional snacks and more!
Life Lessons
There are many life skills that are hard to teach! At camp, children will learn age-appropriate financial literacy, swimming lessons, first aid, plus so much more.
