Help a Child Thrive This Summer
Imagine helping a child thrive thoughout the summer! Sonshine Kids Day Camp in Tuskegee is a place where children in the community can flourish and thrive! In rural communities there are not as many opportunities to have an all summer long camp experience where children get to learn about Jesus, learn valuable life skills, and build lifelong friendships!
Sonshine Kids Day Camp creates a six-week experience for ages 6-11 to cultivate wonder, learn awesome bible stories, and learn valuable life skills, equipping them to thrive. Mission teams each week partner with our college interns to create this amazing experience!
ARM invests over $13,000 for each camp. Your sponsorship funds meals and snacks, educational materials, financial literacy, arts and crafts supplies, small tools, life-skills modules, during-camp transportation, field trips, pool fees, and more. By becoming a sponsor, you provide this high-impact experience to 35-40 children. And, yes, you can sponsor for more than one week and more than one child!
Sponsorship Details
When you sponsor a day camper, you partner with the camp and the kids will share what they are learning.
First, you will receive a welcome and introduction letter. In the middle of the summer, you receive a note and craft from one of the children. Finally, the kids will shoot a closing video so you can see all their activities, what they learned, and how they grew closer to God. Don’t miss your chance to partner with a camper and bring the Bible to life and help a child thrive!
Mother’s Day and Father’s Day Gifts!
Sponsor a child in honor of your parent or someone who is a parent to you! Each year our founder, Rev. Lisa Pierce, sponsors a child in honor of her wonderful mother! Join Lisa and many others by honoring your parent with a Sonshine Kids Day Camp sponsorship, a gift that brings glory to God and invests in our future generations. We will even send your honoree a special note from Alabama Rural Ministry about the sponsorship in their honor. Submit Mother’s Day honoree information by Monday, April 27 and Father’s Day honoree information by Monday, June 1.
Give a Sponsorship in Memory of a Loved One
Sponsor a child in memory of someone who made a positive difference in your life! Sonshine Kids Day Camp sponsorships are thoughtful, impactful gifts that make a real difference in the lives of the campers, as well as the lives of those connected to the person whose life you are recognizing. We will even send a special note to one of their family members or friends from Alabama Rural Ministry about the sponsorship in their memory.
