I’m going in the box! Beginning Saturday Nov 6th, I live in conditions that sometimes our families face; small spaces, sleeping on a mattress on a floor, drafty windows, a door that doesn’t lock that well, and waking up to the cold. It keeps us focused on serving as many families as we can!
Where will I be? In front of the Auburn Wesley Foundation on Gay Street-across from Tiger Rags. Around 8:00 AM, I will start to get set up just in time for the AU homecoming game. In addition to just staying in the house, I’ll be setting up information tables about poverty and various things you can learn about families in Alabama. You can take a quiz on surviving in “poverty”, learn about the mindsets those in low income families tend to have, and more importantly, how we can help.
And for all the kiddos out there, you can bring them, and let them paint on our box for a $5.00 donation. They can paint, learn, and also receive a new paint brush. We look forward to seeing you out there!
Come sit with me by the fire, chat, and learn what ARM is doing with families needing home repair. And, oh yea-to get out of the box, I must raise $10,000!
