It’s already Week 4 at Youth Mission Camp, which means we’re half way through our summer of home repair and kid’s day camp ministry! We’re so thankful for all the students who have served with us in Tuskegee and Livingston. We’re also so grateful for the families who host these teams at their homes and the day camp kids and their families. Most of all, we’re so thankful for God’s love and the way we all get to share in the blessing of God’s Kingdom together as it comes on earth – in rural Alabama! – as it is in heaven.

Be sure to check out our Youth Mission Camp 2016 Youtube playlist to keep up with all the action!

Week 2 of Youth Mission Camp brought 5 teams of students! In Livingston, we were blessed to serve with friends from First UMC Hobe Sound, FL, Woodland UMC of Pike Road, Tanner Williams UMC of Mobile, and Dadeville First UMC. The Hobe Sound and Tanner Williams teams were serving with us for the first time! In Tuskegee, we were blessed to have our friends from College Hill Presbyterian Church of Cincinnati, OH, return for another summer of extending Christ’s love. This team was working on renovations at the Tuskegee Mission Hub the last time they served with us in 2014, and this summer they got to see the fruits of their labor as they slept, ate, and worshiped together at the Hub!

After a great Week 2, we welcomed our friends from Vestavia Hills UMC to serve with us for the second year in Livingston. This team has served at our Tuskegee site in the past, but wanted to try something a little different this summer with our west Alabama mission site. We loved serving with them in Livingston just as much as we did in Tuskegee! Speaking of Tuskegee, we were so excited to welcome new friends from Monte Sano UMC near Huntsville, AL. Both the Vestavia Hills UMC and Monte Sano UMC team served with families through the home repair ministry.

Check out our latest team videos below! We’re still working on some of the videos, but they will be posted soon.
