University Students: If you are looking for a connection to ARM as a student, ARM@AU is our bridge with students who have a heart for service. Many of those involved include building science, architecture, and engineering majors but everyone is welcome. If you feel a call to ministry or hope to work with non-profits in the future, this is an organization for you! Recruitment events will be held on campus this fall. For more information contact Lisa at lisa@arm-al.org. Check out the ARM@AU Facebook page.

The state of the ministry event from earlier this year will evolve into a town hall with a greater opportunity to share our ministry with others who want to expand their own efforts. Our next scheduled event will occur on the evening of Thursday, September 9th at 6:00 PM CDT on Zoom. Mark your calendars for the opportunity to share with our executive director, Lisa Pierce, and the ARM staff about the positive opportunities for change in our communities. The link will be published in the August newsletter.

Save the Dates – more information to come:

September 18th: In partnership with Way2Serve and their My Jerusalem service day, ARM will have several home repair projects for individuals and teams. We need crew/team leaders and volunteer groups to work with ARM families. We love this partnership with Way2Serve! For more information about their organization, visit theway2serve.org.

September 23-28: The annual No More Shacks awareness will see Lisa living in the shack for a week. It’s a little earlier this fall but is timed to coincide with Homecoming on the AU football schedule. It will be a great time to talk about what home really means. Lisa would love for you to come sit with her and others for a time or just drop by. This is ARM’s largest housing awareness and fundraising (or friend raising :)))) event! More information will be forthcoming in next month’s eNews.
