Whatever the case, we’re extending our deadline for #ARMSUMMERSTAFF applications until Tuesday March 1st 2016!
We’re excited about the ministry team God is gathering together to extend the love of Christ through home repair and kids ministries in rural Alabama this summer. We’re looking for more applicants for our construction coordinator and day camp coordinator positions!
Are you qualified to serve? If you love God, love serving others, and are willing to work hard – you’ve got the most important qualifications!
For construction coordinators, you don’t need to be a construction whiz; we will teach you the basics during staff training. You’ll gain all kinds of experience in project management, residential construction, and team leadership. As long as you’re well-organized, pay attention to detail, and like getting your hands dirty, you’ll be fine!
For our day camp coordinators, you’re most important qualification is loving kids! You don’t need to be an education, human development, or social work major to be an excellent day camp leader. While you will gain experience in lesson planning, classroom management, and loving at-risk children, the most important qualities you need are patience, flexibility, and lots of energy!
The #ARMSUMMERSTAFF team works together throughout the summer to practice radical hospitality with mission teams of middle and high school students at each of our mission sites. This includes designing and leading evening worship and poverty education programs, cooking meals, cleaning facilities, and being role models of compassionate, servant leadership. This is an incredible opportunity to join God’s transformative work in the lives of middle and high school students.
These are full-time summer internships, May 13-July 31. We provide your housing and meals, so you have virtually no expenses while you serve. PLUS, you earn a $1700 scholarship and have the option of raising up to $4000 on your own! We also provide a $30/week personal expense stipend to make sure you’re covered.
